Bharat Gears (BHARATGE) is engaged in manufacturing
and marketing automotive gears and heat treatment furnaces. It was
incorporated on Dec. 23, 1971.
The company manufactures hypoid/spiral ring gear and pinion sets,
transmission gears and shafts, differential gears, and gear boxes for
commercial vehicles, utility vehicles, cars, two wheelers and three
wheelers, tractors, off-highway vehicles, forklift trucks, cooling towers
and so on. It engineers and constructs batch and continuous heat-treating
furnace systems including Batch Carburisers, Pusher type Continuous Gas
Carburisers, Pusher type Multi Chamber Gas Carburisers, Cast Link Conveyor
hardening and tempering lines, Mesh Belt furnaces, Rotary Hearth furnaces,
Endothermic Gas Generators, and Computer Supervision of operation and
process control equipment.
Manufacturing facilities are located in Mumbai (Maharashtra) and Faridabad
(Haryana) with a total annual capacity of over 450,000 hypoid/spiral ring
gear and pinion sets, 1 million differential gears and crosses, and 2
million transmission gears. Both the plants are certified with
ISO/TS-16949:2002 and the Faridabad plant is ISO 14001:1996 Quality
Management System certified. The company has financial and technical
collaboration with ZF Friendrichshafen AG of Germany, a world leader in
transmission technology.
Company products are supplied to nations across Europe, America and Asia.
It has a client list including leading OEMs like TATA Motors, John Deere
Equipment, New Holland Tractors, VST Tractors (Mitsubishi), John Deere
Coffeyville Works (JDCW), Carraro, TMA, TDI and Tier I companies like Dana
Corporation in USA to name a few. The company has installed more than 80
heat-treating furnace systems for clients including Ashok Leyland, Bajaj
Auto, TATA-Timken, Precision Fasteners and several others.
Bharat Gears has posted a net profit of Rs 82 million for
the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to net profit of Rs 36.5
million for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 representing sharp
increase of 2.25 times.
